About the Artist
Albert Stolz
Albert Stolz was an Austrian painter who was born in 1875 and died in 1947. Stolz was a South Tyrolean painter. He studied at the Vienna Academy under Alois Delug from 1898-1903. He was known for pictures of South Tyrolean peasant life, Tyrolean legendary figures, sacred and secular murals, and portraits. His bother, Rudolf Stolz, was also a painter.
